Today we continued our journey over to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. Sandusky itself wasn't the most exciting thing ever, but the amusement park was spectacular. We arrived around noon, decided on a meeting spot, and broke off into separate groups. Cedar Point was like Valleyfair x100. The rides were a ton of fun and there was so many to choose from. It was a very hot day but there was 50-60% chance of rain, so if lightening would have occurred, we were to meet at our designated spot. Fortunately, there wasn't any lightening, but it did start to rain for a short period of time. Some of our group got in line for probably the fastest (and shortest) roller coaster in the park. The rain had started when we were waiting in line for this specific ride. Eventually it closed and people started to leave the line, so we did the same. As we were leaving, Brittney had suggested to not be irritated that we had waited all that time but didn't get to ride the roller coaster. She said that it could've been fate or a sign from God - if something were to have gone wrong with the ride, at least we weren't on it! As much as we wanted to get to every roller coaster, we had a blast going on the endless amount of other rides that we got to choose from. After a long day, we got back on the bus and headed back to our hotel. Everyone was pretty exhausted after a fun and exciting day.
Rollercoasters are somewhat similar to our lives. The first hill is always the scariest, but after that it usually gets easier. As we continue on our trip, we are anxious for what's ahead and to recieve the experience of a lifetime at the ELCA youth gathering.
Much love to our friends and family - we miss you :)
